The Roxy was at 50th & 7th in NYC. It opened in March 1927, and it closed and was torn down in the summer of 1960. The Roxy was considered the zenith of "movie palaces." It had 6,200 seats. Radio City Music Hall was larger, only by about 100 seats. It opened in 1932.
