This article almost adds on to the 13th amendment. The 13th amendment abolished all slave like conditions (like work unfairly for someone even if you are paid) that was not taken away with the Emancipation Proclamation. The article enforces this more with American companies that have manufacturing buildings in other countries.
http://actsrnrprogram.com/Chain%20&%20fist%20from%20booklet.jpgThe 13th amendment abolished slavery. When you think of slavery you may think of people working for free and being whipped or someone that is chained up and forced to work for someone. The picture symbolises someone break free from handcuffs. Similar to someone become free from slavery.http://www.law.com/jsp/nlj/PubArticleNLJ.jsp?id=1202537492744&Californias_new_antislavery_law&slreturn=1California implemented a law in which any company making $100 million and distributes in California may not have any slave like conditions over seas. This will effect many companies. The companies must make it public that they do no have slavery.
