One of the photos in the Emory Douglas exhibit at the Urbis museum in Manchester. Douglas is responsible for much of the iconic art associated with the Black Panther movement, and the exhibit was a powerful reminder of the battle for justice and equality that African Americans fought just a few decades ago. Seeing some of the video footage and photographs of the horrific atrocities committed against blacks in the South were difficult, but it was also amazing to consider that just this week Barack was inaugurated.
